IT’S BEEN A LONG, hot, and busy summer. I love those seemingly endless hot summer days, but after three months I’m ready for temps in the 70s that fall to the 50s at night, and the lovely cool breeze which accompanies our dinners as we eat al fresco at a local restaurant. Our daughter is back in school, now in first grade, and with great anticipation contemplates who she will be on Halloween evening. Her eyes twinkle with delight at the thought of masquerading as someone else for a few hours and collecting a pumpkin–shaped bucket full of candy.
